Our team supported one of our mining clients to provide safe access to rooftop HVAC equipment across 10 building locations. Our team provided comprehensive engineering and design services in accordance with OSHA / MSHA & client specific 100% fall restraint or fall arrest requirements – critical for accessing sloped roofs.
By using a 3D scan of each building, our team was able to as-build the structural members, perform structural analysis and calculations for new tie-off anchor points tailored to each roof structure, and create a detailed design of permanent fall restraint/arrest tie-off systems, ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards.
The final deliverables included structural calculations, a detailed Issued for Construction engineering design package for the new rooftop anchor systems, (including layouts, attachment details, and system specifications), and a cost estimate encompassing both material costs and construction/labor costs.
