Turbine Transition Tames Piping Pressures
Steam Turbine Installation.
REDD recently supported one of our Oil & Gas refining clients in the Mountain West Area with the installation of a new steam turbine. The existing turbine was at the end of its life and needed to be replaced.
The installation of the new turbine required modifying some of the inlet piping. REDD was able to design piping modifications that accommodated the new turbine without placing any undue stress on the turbine nozzle; as confirmed utilizing Caesar II pipe stress analysis software conducted as part of this project.
