Alky Decontamination Building Design Build

Have a “Blast” Building A BRM

As part of a design build initiative, a refinery in Salt Lake City planned to demolish an old Alky Decontamination building and replace it with a new facility for storing and cleaning personal protective equipment (PPE) used in the Alky unit. REDD helped specify and select a Blast Resistant Module (BRM) and coordinated with the BRM manufacturer on a design that provided effective operator protection and ample space for PPE storage and cleaning. REDD then produced engineering and design drawings, including general arrangements, demolition plans, civil drawings, and piping layouts.

After generating the design package, REDD supported construction oversight and on-site coordination throughout the project. Our presence ensured timely solutions to unforeseen issues and upheld high safety standards, as evidenced by our impeccable safety record. The BRM approach reduced construction risks and schedules, delivering the project efficiently.

This success laid the foundation for a long-term partnership, with REDD continuing to support this facility.
