Your Friendly Neighborhood Pipers

Slurry piping design was the focus of a recent Salt Lake City refinery project, where REDD was brought in to improve slurry recirculation from the tank farm to the FCC. Due to REDD’s successful previous piping design work, the client trusted them to develop a new engineering solution.

REDD provided full engineering services for over 1,400 feet of new pipe, incorporating two new control loops, a pump with a concrete containment pad, and new pipe supports. A complete pipe stress analysis was performed to ensure compliance with B31.3 requirements and to verify pump loading and support performance.

This project is another example of REDD’s ability to deliver projects that meet demanding standards of safety, quality, and performance while staying on time and within budget. The client was highly satisfied with the results and continues to rely on REDD’s engineering expertise for ongoing support.
